OPEN STUDIO in BERKELEY SPRINGS

WHAT YOU'LL SEE:

The artist will be there to greet you, explain her process, and show you her unique and colorful wearable art. There will be one-of-a-kind, museum-worthy creations for special event wear that will blow your mind. It also features Lola's photography and painting techniques on silky soft athleisure designed to be worn everywhere!  There will also be a limited amount of home goods, tees, prints, and some experimental pieces!

Lola's work often features nature, bright colors, and positive themes guaranteed to infuse your outlook with joy. This year features new work, including the unique "Rise of the Matriarchy" gown, which will be in the finale of a NY fashion week show on Sept 10! What you learn about Matriarchal societies will surprise you-- it's different than you think!

WHAT TO EXPECT: 

THE STUDIO: 

Please be advised that there is a staircase up to the sunny second-floor art studio. There is a private changing room where you can experience the awesome power of the clothing on yourself! Don't be afraid to ask to try things on-- that's the whole point! Lola can help with sizes. These pieces are designed to be put into motion and to positively affect the person who sees themselves and those who see them, too.

SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES: Lola's artwork is sustainable. One-of-a-kind pieces are made from recycled and refashioned textiles. Lolas keeps her carbon footprint small, too- athleisure is printed for your order-specific order! You can try on sizes and prints in the studio, and then, in just two weeks after you place your order, your particular order will arrive at your door! How cool is that! 

DO YOU NEED TO KNOW YOUR SIZE? 

Good news--It helps, but these clothes are stretchy and forgiving. They can also be worn year-round in water and on dry land in different sizes, depending on how you wear them, loose or tight. They are UPF 50+ too. You can try on sizes, and Lola will be available to take your measurements, if she does not have your size on the sample rack sp you can pick your size for ordering. 

*Moms and dads-- every year, I see customers wishing they had the measurements of adult offspring with them-- so inquire now, and you'll be ready when you see the artwork!

CUSTOM COMMISSIONS: 

Lola accepts commissions for custom artwork, too! Also, if you'd like to bring a photo of something you'd like refashioned, please do! What are you going to do with that old wedding gown in the closet anyway?

The Berkeley Springs Studio Tour is a free, self-guided driving tour open to the public. The tour is comprised of nationally and regionally known artists in their studios. It includes contemporary and traditional art and fine crafts in many different media.  Artists will demonstrate and describe the processes used to create their unique work. COVID Guidelines: – Studios may require visitors to wear a mask. – Numbers may be limited in a studio so there could be a wait outside. – Please respect social distancing. – Please do not go on the tour if you feel unwell.  NOTE - Exact Location & Directions-Maps: A link to an interactive map will be updated before the Studio Tour. The information will be emailed to those who RSVP. Please look out for that email a few days before the show.   ❋ This studio is not open publicly. This is a special event. :) Likewise, most other artists on the tour are not generally open to the public. ❋
